BROKEN

by Sharon E. Williams-Dean

Published 2011

Always on the go, yet broken

Never stopping, to complain

however broken.

Sometimes carrying the weight of the world,

but broken.

Smelling the roses, and the daffodils,

Still Broken.

Praying for relief,

While Broken.

Seeking His face in the mist of the storm,

and

Turning over the brokenness to the one

Who can handle all things, EVEN

The brokenness!

Tears Have No Color

by Michael Horner

Published 2023

Pain is the same, Love is the same.

Hate is the same, Blood is the same.

Joy is the same.

When you hear children laugh; there

is no dialect in their laughter.

No Black laugh, No White laugh, No

Hispanic laugh, No Asian laugh,

No African laugh.

Just laughter...

But, we do have tears of joy!

And tears of Joy or tears of pain still

have no color.

God Bless You All

Open Door

by Sharon E. Williams-Dean

Published 2011

The door was always open

The house was always warm

The kitchen smelled of baked goods, almost done

The door was always open

The bed was made with care

The breeze came through the bedroom blinds,

And cooled the summer air

The door was always open

The Love she shared was true

My heart was hers

And hers was mine

The door was always open

This was my mother's way

She told me she would die one day

And go to be with God

She said with this death there was eternal life,

and the door is always open when

we trust in God.
